APRIL 1, 2002 House Resolution No. 43 -- Relative to Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month.
LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST
WHEREAS, In the State of California there are over one million motorcycle riders, passengers, and enthusiasts;
and
WHEREAS, The safety hazards created by motorcycle riding should be of great concern to motorcycle riders, as well as all other motor vehicle operators;
and
WHEREAS, It is especially important that the citizens of our state be aware of motorcycles on the streets and highways and recognize the importance of motorcycle safety;
and
WHEREAS, During this month all motorists should unite to give their support to motorcycle safety and awareness; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the Assembly of the State of California, That the month of May 2002 be recognized as Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month;
and be it further
Resolved, That the Chief Clerk of the Assembly shall transmit copies of this resolution to the author for distribution.
